It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Angela Lumia at the age of 93, beloved wife of the late Liborio Lumia and sister of the late Leonardo Lumia.

Born in Italy, Angela carried with her the strength, traditions, and values of her homeland throughout her life. In her younger years, she made the courageous journey to France before eventually settling in Montréal, Canada, where she built a life rooted in family, resilience, and love. Through each chapter of her journey, she remained deeply devoted to preserving the traditions and warmth of her Italian heritage, creating a home that was always welcoming and filled with life.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children Nicolina (Calogero), Frank (Chantal), Leo (Dina) and Joseph (Lina), her cherished grandchildren Mary (Rocco), Bobby (Jenny), Marco (Marie), Bobby (Amanda), Tommy (Jessica), Angie (Tasso), Julia (Anthony) and Joey, her great-grandchildren Corina (Michael), Carmine, and Marina, her brother Pasquale and many other relatives and friends.

Angela was known for her deep love of gardening, a passion that brought her great joy and peace. Her garden was not only a place where she nurtured flowers and vegetables, but also where she expressed her love for her family. Many will remember the pride she took in preparing delicious home-cooked meals, often made with ingredients she had grown herself. Around her table, family and friends were always welcomed with warmth, generosity, and abundance.

Wise, caring, and endlessly giving, Angela had a special way of bringing people together. Her kindness, strength, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, and the traditions she lovingly passed down will continue to live on through the generations of her family.

Visitations will be held at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex, 10300 Pie IX Blvd. on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Monday morning as of 9:30 a.m.

A ceremony will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 12 p.m. at Notre Dame du Mont Carmel church thence to Notre Dame Des Neiges Cemetery.
